Gearing up Internet Literacy and Access for Students (GILAS) and the provincial government of Compostela Valley formally announced their commitment to connect to the Internet all of the 44 public high schools in the province.

Silay City recently became the first city in Negros Occidental, as well as in Western Visayas, to connect all of its public high schools to the Internet.

Members of the Gearing up Internet Literacy and Access for Students (GILAS) consortium and their local-government partners in Davao del Sur and Agusan del Norte have gone full blast with their plan to connect to the Internet all of the public high schools in both provinces.
